How to Choose the Right Crystal Award Size
Size is the decision that most changes how an award is received, and it is also the one people settle last. Browse the full crystal awards category, then use the sizes below to anchor your choice.
Published sizes
The blue and transparent crystal award publishes three, with prices to match:
| Size | Dimensions | 1 award | 10 awards | Per award at 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 15 x 25 cm | AED 150 | AED 1,020 | AED 102 |
| Medium | 19 x 30 cm | AED 175 | AED 1,200 | AED 120 |
| Large | 21 x 35 cm | AED 275 | AED 2,100 | AED 210 |
Two other models carry their size in the product name:
| Product | Stated size | From (AED) |
|---|---|---|
| Heptagon Shape Crystal Awards | 13 x 19 cm | 144.00 |
| Personalized Crystal Awards | 16 x 23 cm | 105.25 |
Across the category the range runs from compact 18.5cm plaques to 29cm pieces. The pages do not say which figure is height and which is width, though the larger number is conventionally the height, and they do not say whether a base is counted in it. If a display case or a shelf has a hard limit, confirm the orientation before ordering.
What the step up actually costs
Going from small to medium is AED 25 on a single award and AED 180 across ten, which is a modest sum for 5cm more height. Going from medium to large is AED 100 on a single award and AED 900 across ten. So the medium is usually the value choice, and the large is worth it for a single headline award rather than a whole batch.
Dimensions
Height drives presence on a shelf and on stage; width drives the room for a logo and a long award title. Within the stated range, the 29cm pieces are the biggest and the compact 18.5cm plaques the smallest.
Thickness
Thicker crystal looks more substantial and is what makes 3D laser engraving inside the block possible, since the design needs depth to sit in. Thickness is not published for any model, so ask if you are set on the 3D laser finish.
Weight
Marble, wood and metal bases add weight, which is part of why they feel more serious in the hand. No weights are published. If you are carrying twenty awards to a venue or shipping them between emirates, ask for the weight per piece before you plan the logistics.
Text length
Longer text needs a bigger face or smaller letters, and smaller letters engrave less cleanly. Count the characters of your longest award title and longest recipient name first, then choose the size around that worst case rather than the average one. See artwork preparation.
Engraving area
PrintOnline does not publish an engraving area per model, so the proof is where you judge it. A base gives a second surface for the name, which frees the crystal face for the logo and is often a better answer than simply buying a larger award.
Presentation setting
Stage handover: larger reads better from the back of a room. Desk gift: compact is fine, and often more likely to be kept on display. Several models come in a presentation box, and the blue and transparent award includes one as standard. See awards for employee recognition.
Decision rule
- Short name and logo, many winners: compact model.
- Long title plus name plus logo: pick a larger face or add a base.
- Senior or one-off award: larger size with a box.
