How to Prepare Artwork for a Personalized Crystal Award
Prepare these before you use the personalization fields on the blue and transparent crystal award page. PrintOnline does not publish a list of accepted file formats for awards, so the vector formats named below are the safe general recommendation rather than a stated policy. What is certain is that you will see a proof before anything is cut.
Logo file preparation
Send a vector file (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG) with text converted to outlines, in one colour. Remove backgrounds and shadows. If you only have a JPG or PNG, ask whether it can be redrawn. Confirm accepted formats with PrintOnline (WhatsApp +971 52 383 1019).
Recipient names
Use one name per line, verified spelling, one capitalization style. Proofs, including Arabic text, are provided; check Arabic names with a native reader. See organizing names for recognition awards.
Award titles
Write the exact wording once ("Employee of the Year 2026") and reuse it. Short titles fit better; see award size.
Font legibility
Choose a clear, medium-weight font. Thin or script fonts may lose detail in etching. Avoid all-caps for long names.
Line breaks
Decide where each line ends: title, then name, then date, for example. Break at natural points, not mid-word.
Logo placement
Leave margins from the edges. Bases give "a second surface for the recipient's name", so the logo can sit on the crystal face and the name on the base. The engraving area per model is not published; ask.
Proof approval
Proofs are provided before cutting. Read every word, date and spelling, then approve. Engraving cannot be undone.
How the branding method changes the design
The engraving methods are surface etching and 3D laser inside the crystal, and both are single tone. A transparent 4-colour sticker is offered separately when the design needs real colour. Surface etching works as a clean flat mark; 3D laser appears inside the block. See engraving vs printing. Test your design at final size, because fine lines can disappear.
