Measuring

Measure and mark the centre point of your intended sign location, both horizontally and vertically, before taping up the stencil. For a reception wall, the standard approach is to centre the sign on the wall or on a specific focal point (a reception desk, a doorway), and to set the vertical position at a comfortable eye-level height for someone standing in the space, typically with the centre of the logo around 1.5 to 1.6 metres from the floor, adjusted for your specific space and desk height.

Alignment

Use a spirit level against the stencil, not just the eye, since even a slight tilt is very noticeable on a large logo wall once installed. Tape the stencil in position, step back and check it from a distance and from the angle most people will actually view it (walking in through the entrance, for example), and only proceed once you are confident in the position. This is the step worth being genuinely patient about, since it cannot be corrected after the adhesive is engaged.

Adhesive
