"Personalized mug" covers a dozen different jobs, and each one has a different right answer. Here is what each type of custom mug printing in Dubai involves, what it costs, and what to prepare before you order.

Photo mugs

The most requested personalized mug. One photo, a two or three photo strip, or a collage printed across the 94 x 200 mm area. Name mugs

A name, sometimes with a short role or nickname, set in a typeface on a plain or patterned background. These are the easiest personalization to get right because text is vector-sharp and there is no resolution risk. Keep the name large, avoid very thin script fonts at small sizes, and remember that white in your design is the mug body showing through, so white lettering only works over a coloured background. Popular for office desks, classrooms and gifting.

Logo mugs

A company logo printed on one or both sides of the strip, usually with the website or a tagline. Supply the logo as vector artwork so edges stay clean at print size. The important limitation: sublimation prints four-colour CMYK, so an exact Pantone brand colour cannot be guaranteed, and metallic or gold logos cannot be printed at all. Office mugs

Mugs for a pantry or a team, typically the company logo on one side and an individual name on the other, so nobody argues about whose cup it is. This is a variable-data order: one clearly labelled artwork file per mug, using the different-print option at checkout. Expect the mockup to show one representative mug rather than all of them.

Birthday mugs

A photo plus a name and age, or a message that lands. Single-mug orders at AED 25 make these viable as a small gift, and an individual gift box is AED 1 more. Order with enough lead time: standard production is 5 working days from artwork approval, plus delivery.

Anniversary mugs

Usually a photo pair, a date, and a short line of text. Two mugs is the natural quantity, at AED 40 for a plain white pair. A magic mug, black until hot coffee reveals the photo, works well for anniversaries and costs AED 50 for two.

Farewell mugs

A team photo, signatures or short messages from colleagues, printed on one mug for the person leaving. Signature and message layouts should be supplied as a prepared file: hand-written notes photographed on paper need cleaning up before they print well, and free design support covers regular layouts rather than complex artwork.

Event mugs

Conferences, weddings, school events and Ramadan or National Day gifting. One design, moderate quantity, fixed deadline. Bulk mugs

Pricing is tiered on total quantity, and the per-unit cost falls steeply. Plain white mugs run AED 150 for 10, AED 475 for 50, AED 790 for 100 and AED 3,250 for 500, which is AED 15, AED 9.50, AED 7.90 and AED 6.50 per mug respectively. Artwork preparation

Build files at 94 x 200 mm in CMYK.
Keep a 3 to 5 mm clear margin at top and bottom. Full-bleed to the rim is not possible.
Printing covers the outer body only, stopping about one inch clear of each side of the handle. No printing inside, on the base or on the handle.
Photos want roughly 2360 x 1110 pixels or more. Vector files for logos and text.
No Pantone matching, no metallic, no gold.
One labelled file per mug when each mug differs.

Ordering process

A mockup is prepared for your approval, and production begins once you approve it. Approving within 24 hours protects your delivery date. A non-printed sample white mug is AED 5 if you want to check size and feel first.

Delivery

Standard production is 5 working days, with 3-day and 2-day urgent options for an additional charge. After production, courier delivery takes 1 to 2 days within Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman city limits and to the other emirates, or a special driver delivers within 6 hours for AED 50 or 10 hours for AED 150.
