Corporate Mug Printing in Dubai: A Practical Guide for Companies and Events

Branded mugs work because they sit on a desk for years, which is more visible time than almost any other promotional item buys. They go wrong for predictable reasons: artwork that depends on a colour sublimation cannot print, a quantity that lands one short, or a delivery date that assumed production started at checkout. This guide covers the decisions that matter when you are ordering mugs for a company rather than for yourself.

Logo mugs

The core corporate order: your logo, usually with a website or tagline, printed on the 94 x 200 mm area. Supply vector artwork so edges stay sharp. The constraint to settle first is colour. Sublimation prints four-colour CMYK, so a specified Pantone can only be approximated, and metallic or gold marks cannot be printed at all. If your brand book mandates gold, choose a single-colour version of the mark for mugs and sign that off internally before you order. The full reasoning is in the sublimation explainer.

Employee gifts

Onboarding kits, long-service recognition and team mugs. The most-requested version pairs the company logo on one side with an individual name on the other, which makes it a variable-data order rather than a single-design run. Budget realistically: 50 white mugs cost AED 475, which is AED 9.50 each, and 100 cost AED 790, or AED 7.90 each.

Client gifts

Lower quantity, higher expectation. This is where a magic mug earns its extra cost, since the reveal effect gets a reaction that a printed logo does not: 25 magic mugs are AED 425 against AED 300 for plain white. Individual gift boxes at AED 1 each are not optional for client gifting; mugs ship without individual boxes by default.

Exhibition giveaways

High volume, tight deadline, low unit cost. At 500 mugs, plain white works out to AED 6.50 each, and at 1,000 it is AED 6. Two operational warnings. Mugs are heavy and bulky, so plan how they get from delivery to stand. And exhibition deadlines are immovable while production is not, so order well ahead of standard 5 working day production rather than relying on the 2 or 3 working day urgent options, which cost more and still start only after you approve artwork.

Promotional campaigns

Retail giveaways, customer loyalty runs and seasonal campaigns around Ramadan, Eid, National Day and year-end. Sequence the order so artwork approval is not the bottleneck: the delivery date calculator on the product page assumes one working day for print file preparation and mockup approval, and approving within 24 hours is what keeps the calculated date valid.

Quantity planning

Order the full quantity in one production run. This is the single most important planning decision for a corporate order, and not for pricing reasons. Sublimation colour shifts with press temperature, humidity, dwell time and operator, so a top-up batch ordered three weeks later will not reliably match the first. If 80 people are getting a mug, order 90, not 80 and then 10.

Price breaks are steep and sit at round numbers, so check the tier just above your quantity. Plain white pricing runs AED 150 for 10, AED 300 for 25, AED 475 for 50, AED 790 for 100, AED 1,500 for 200, AED 3,250 for 500 and AED 6,000 for 1,000. Going from 90 mugs at AED 725 to 100 at AED 790 costs AED 65 for ten extra mugs.

Single vs variable artwork

Single artwork means every mug is identical. Simplest, cheapest to prepare, and the mockup represents the whole run.

Variable artwork means each mug differs, typically by name. Select the different-print option and upload one clearly labelled file per mug, named so the label maps unambiguously to the intended mug. Understand what proofing means here: one representative mug is shown as a sample and the remainder are printed with the same settings, so the accuracy of every other mug depends entirely on the accuracy of your files. Check the spelling of every name in your own list before uploading, because there is no second review downstream and the policy is no refund, no reprint.

Artwork preparation

  • 94 x 200 mm, CMYK, print-ready.
  • Mandatory 3 to 5 mm clear margin top and bottom. No edge-to-edge printing.
  • Printing covers the outer body only, about one inch clear of each side of the handle. Nothing inside, on the base or on the handle.
  • Vector logos. Photographic elements at roughly 2360 x 1110 pixels or more.
  • No Pantone matching, no metallic, no gold.
  • On black mugs with a white printable panel, printed black will not match the ceramic black. Design a deliberate edge rather than trying to hide the join.
  • Free design support covers regular layouts. Complex artwork and photo collages should be supplied ready.

Proof approval

A mockup is prepared for approval and production starts only after you approve it. Treat the mockup as a check on content and layout, not on exact colour or millimetre placement, since it is a graphical representation rather than a photograph of the finished mug. On any order above a handful of mugs, use the comments box to request one printed sample photographed on WhatsApp before the full run proceeds. On a 500-mug order that request costs nothing and is the only real safeguard available.

Packaging

Mugs are delivered without individual boxes by default. Individual mug boxes are AED 1 each and should be added at checkout for anything being handed to a client or employee directly. For exhibition giveaways where mugs are handed out loose from a stand, bulk packing is usually fine.

Delivery

Standard production is 5 working days from artwork approval. Urgent production at 3 working days and urgent dispatch at 2 working days carry additional charges that scale with quantity. After production, courier delivery takes 1 to 2 days across Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman city limits and the other emirates, a special driver delivers within 6 hours for AED 50 or 10 hours for AED 150, and collection from the Sharjah facility is free. For large corporate orders, confirm that the receiving address can accept a bulky multi-carton delivery and that someone will be there to sign for it. Ordering for an office in another emirate? See the Abu Dhabi guide or the Sharjah guide.
